The Medmont E300 Corneal Topographer is the gold standard for specialty contact lens fitting. It also allows for diagnosis of corneal disease such as keratoconus as well as evaluation of dry eye syndrome.
Digital Imaging Fundus Camera
Creates a complete picture of the fundus for detection of any anomalies such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and optic nerve atrophy.
Digital Corneal Imaging
For the analysis of corneal health conditions. This equipment is essential for the fitting of contact lenses.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
The latest in diagnostic technology, the OCT is essentially an “optical ultrasound”,and provides a rapid, non-invasive view of the structures of the eye at a near microscopic level. This is proved to be an invaluable tool in the diagnosis of retinal disease, and the early detection of glaucoma. The OCT is also used for specialty contact lens fitting and evaluation of glaucoma.
Ocular Response Analyzer
The Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) is the only advanced tonometer that factors in corneal biomechanics. This allow for the most accurate measurement of eye pressure as well as provide superior prediction on glaucoma progression, especially in those at risk for normal tension glaucoma.
Color Vision Assessment
We utilize the D-15 Farnsworth Dichotomous Color Blindness test for color vision assessment. This is currently the standard requirement for applicants to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as well as the local police departments.

Measures corneal thickness to detect glaucoma.
Non-contact Automated Tonometer
Measures the intra-ocular pressure for the detection of glaucoma.
Automated Visual Field Testing
The Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer is the industry standard test used to assess the sensitivity of the eye as well as the extent of the peripheral vision. It is approved for use for the Ontario Department of Motor Vehicles vision testing. In addition, visual field tests are useful in the detection of retinal disease, and in the detection of diseases affecting the visual pathways of the brain, including stroke or brain tumors.
